An initial consultation with Dr Vickers will cost $250.00, with Medicare providing a rebate of $81.30. 

 

At your initial consultation, fees for the surgery, hospital and anaesthetist will be fully discussed. A printed estimate of fees including the item numbers will be available. Private hospitals will require you to have Top Hospital Cover to be covered for theatre and ward costs. If you do not have private health insurance, an estimate of fees from the hospital can be obtained from the hospital with the relevant item numbers for your procedure. 

 

Medicare does not cover the surgical fee for dental procedures, therefore, procedures such as extraction of teeth or placement of dental implants will be claimable through “Dental Extras” cover with your private health fund.  Non-dental procedures such as bone grafting, removal of cysts, biopsy and jaw osteotomies will attract a Medicare rebate as well as being claimable from your private health insurance.
